Charlotte is, as they say, "connected"- to everyone and every place, from the Environmental Learning Center to Saint Edward's School, where both her children graduated.
She knows Florida and Real Estate. Charlotte Terry is a fourth generation Floridian, and has lived in Vero Beach for over 40 years. Her family moved to Vero Beach from Jacksonville, Florida. After twenty years of owning her own company, Charlotte Terry Real Estate, Inc., as a buyer’s agent, Charlotte merged with Alex MacWilliam, Inc. Real Estate in 2009, and after much demand, expanded her practice to include listing representation.
She is a do-er. Charlotte is more than a presence on the real estate scene. She is also a fixture in the community's vibrant cultural and environmental life, where she's been an activist and prime mover.
Charlotte is vice chairman of the Board of the Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the poet, Ms. Jackson's historic home located on the ELC campus. The Foundation not only provides educational and literary seminars but started the successful Vero Beach Book Festival, bringing many Pulitzer Prize and Nobel Prize winning authors to the Vero Beach community. She is a nature nut. She also has proudly served on the Board of McKee Botanical Gardens.

Patty Valdes is a 34 year resident of Vero Beach, Fl. who has over three decades of experience in real estate. Her love for and roots in real estate run deep. Her Dad was a residential and commercial Real Estate Broker in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, who advised Patty to go into the business as Vero Beach transformed from a small beach community into a quiet hub for new home buyers and retirees alike.
Patty graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduation, she worked at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida, training the bottle nosed dolphins Cary & Caesar, lifeguarding and coordinating summer camps for children. She has two children both living in Florida.
With over ten years of onsite sales at Grand Harbor, a golf, tennis and marina development, her experience in this community and others like it is invaluable. Patty has assisted hundreds of clients throughout Indian River County since then. She prides herself on assisting these clients not only with their real estate needs but also with introducing them to the Vero Beach community as a whole. This hands-on approach has led to numerous invaluable referrals from friends and clients.
Patty was in the first class presented in the United States by the National Association of Realtors to earn certification in the Green Sustainable Property Designation.
As a fan of the beautiful Treasure Coast weather, you can typically find Patty outdoors when she is not with her clients. She enjoys walking the bridge and Riverside Park, going to the beach with her grandson, doing yoga, throwing the Frisbee for her rescue dog, Herald, planting fruits and vegetables and gathering eggs at her nearby farm.
So if you want to work with someone who doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty or walking the extra mile, give
Patty a call!
WHAT THEY SAY:
"Three homes later, Patty made the impossible happen for us!”
Teena grew up along the far reaches of Florida’s east coast – Jacksonville and Miami. She went from business school and modeling in Miami’s Coconut Grove to fashion design in both Miami and Woodstock, NY. She later moved to Winter Park, Florida, where she received her real estate license from Rollins College and enjoyed – along with her husband – remodeling homes. In fact, she often winks, perhaps part of her creative spirit came from living in Bob Dylan’s former home in New York.
After coming to Vero Beach in 1981 she joined the real estate world and worked with various developers on high-end projects. She also co-founded Beach & Beyond Rentals, a very successful residential rentals company that she ran for 20 years. When she sold the business in 2011, she happily joined the prestigious offices of The Charlotte Terry Real Estate Group of Alex MacWilliam, Inc.
Teena is a creative foodie. She adores food: preparing it, eating it and sharing it with friends and family. She also is an avid supporter of The Humane Society and has sponsored many loving adoptees.
Teena is a seasoned real estate professional with a satisfied and loyal following. She has an extensive knowledge of Vero Beach and is relentless in her quest to satisfy her clients’ needs.

Kate grew up in Vero Beach, graduated from Saint Edward's School, and went on to UNC Chapel Hill where she received a B.A. in Public Relations and Advertising. There, Kate was the philanthropy chair for her sorority, giving her the opportunity to visit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and manage fundraisers throughout the year for the hospital.
Shortly after her four years at Chapel Hill, Kate moved to San Francisco where she managed and grew a successful advertising sales program for an educational technology start-up. In this role, she learned the ins and outs of digital marketing and strategies for helping her clients’ brands stand out – skills that have translated well to marketing local homes and real estate in Vero’s competitive and booming market. In San Francisco, Kate also fell in love with live jazz, stand-up comedy and cooking different cuisines such as Burmese food.
Kate moved back to her beloved hometown in 2017 and joined the Charlotte Terry Group to pursue her career in real estate. She is passionate about the Vero way of life, and knows you will be too!
"Charlotte Terry and Kate Weeks handled every detail for me as an out of town buyer. I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend!"
